Saint Patrick’s Day is traditionally celebrated as a religious
holiday in Ireland and in all countries that have an Irish community.
Ironically, one of Saint Patrick’s day most important celebrations
takes place in New York.
Saint Patrick’s Day is one of the most famous and extraordinary
events that takes place in the city. Loads of people flock to
the streets and gather along 5th Avenue, where they can view the
marchers parading.
Marching bands, floats, people dressed up as leprechauns in a
green jubilation, parade along 5th Avenue, skirting Saint Patrick’s
cathedral , where New York’s bishop watches.
Everything is colored in green ( in memory of the Irish meadows),
from faces to beer.
