Central Park is a green oasis in the middle of Manhattan. Besides being the largest park of the city (at approximately 3.2 Km²), it is a peaceful area for New Yorkers.

Central Park has several small lakes, the largest of which is called The Reservoir. The park is surrounded by skyscrapers, creating what looks like a giant amphitheater.

Located within the park, the Central Park Zoo inspired authors and cartoonists to create the famous animated film Madagascar. It is an oasis within the city, where millions go to relax, jog or visit the locations where some of the most famous films were shot.

Central Park offers a multitude of colors during all seasons and provides beautiful walking paths. The park is divided in two areas, the southern and northern part, where you will find the most ravishing areas, particularly around the Jackie Onassis Reservoir.

Near the lake , you will find the famous Strawberry Fields, an area dedicated to the memory of John Lennon, who was killed in 1980. Visit this area to enjoy peace and quiet, and admire the mosaic floor bearing the word “Imagine”.
