The Metropolitan Museum of Art , also known as The Met, located
on the famous Museum Mile, is one of the largest and most famous
museums in the world. It has an extremely large quantity of works
of art from all time periods and from all over the world.
The Metropolitan Museum collection has more than two million
works of art, which are cyclically showcased. The permanent collection
includes works of art mainly representing Greek and Roman classical
antiquity, Ancient Egypt, paintings and sculptures from the most
famous European artists and a collection of American modern art.
