US Open 2026: Official Dates Announced for New York’s Biggest Tennis Event

The organizers of the US Open have officially announced the dates for the 2026 tournament, confirming another exciting edition of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.
The US Open 2026 will take place from Sunday, August 23 to Sunday, September 13, 2026, extending across three full weeks of tennis, entertainment, and fan experiences in New York City.
A Slightly Updated Schedule for 2026
The 2026 edition introduces a slightly revised schedule. Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day will officially open US Open Fan Week on August 23, marking the start of on-site events and activities.
Fan Week will once again include the US Open Qualifying Tournament as well as the re-imagined US Open Mixed Doubles Championship, which became an instant fan favorite after the introduction of its new format in 2025.
Main draw singles matches will begin on Sunday, August 30, 2026, leading up to the highly anticipated finals weekend in mid-September.
Tickets & Planning Ahead
Official ticket on-sale dates for the US Open 2026 have not yet been announced. Fans are encouraged to sign up as US Open Insiders to receive early access and updates as soon as tickets become available.
Given the high demand for premium sessions and finals matches, travelers planning to attend are advised to start organizing their trip well in advance.
