The Itinerary
We will leave from Manhattan in the early morning to beat (hopefully) rush-hour traffic, and head south towards New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Once we arrive in Philly, we will start the Tour around the
Old City and
Independence Hall. This is a great way to learn many interesting facts about America's History including the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the birth of a Nation.
Some of the iconic attractions we can visit during the Tour are:
- Liberty Bell
- Independence Hall
- The old Senate
- Old City Hall & 1st Supreme Court
- Elfreth's Alley
- The Site of Benjamin's Franklyn House
- Betsy Ross House
- Reading Terminal Food Hall
- City Hall
- Benjamin Franklyn Parkway
- The Museum of Art and The Roky Steps
Usually, it will take us around 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach Philadelphia from New York City, if traffic cooperates, and unless we need to stop along the way, we usually advise going straight to the
City of Brotherly Love and reach Independence Hall Visitor Center where we can stop for a Coffe and Bathroom Break before starting our Sightseeing Tour.
The beauty of Philadelphia is that we can "abandon" our vehicle for the first 2 and a half hour of the tour and explore the beautiful and historic Old Town by walking the
old street of Philly. Philadelphia is such a charismatic town and thanks to its narrow cobblestone streets and old-world vibe, it invites us to walk and explore its city center.
What we visit during our Walking Tour of the Historic Town is something that you can fully tailor with the help of your Tour Guide.
After the first few hours, we will continue towards the
Downtown area and the iconic
Rocky Steps.
To better fit our client's needs, we offer 3 options to further tailor your Excursion to Philadelphia, and you can choose between:
Option 1 to simply spend more time in Philly adding Chinatown, The Reading Terminal Food Hall and City Hall and in the late afternoon return to NYC.
Option 2 to visit Lancaster County also known as the territory of the Amish people and ride an Authentic Buggy (the Amish Carriage)
Option 3 to go Shopping! We offer you the exclusive possibility to go to the largest Tax-Free Mall we have in the States, located right in Delaware.
We will return to New York in the Evening.
