The Ethnic Apple Bike Tour - Beyond Manhattan

The tour begins on the aerial tram that connects Midtown Manhattan to Roosevelt Island, a city within a city. You will hop onboard with your bikes to cross the East River and get an incomparable 360 degree view of the big apple. You will then pedal under the impressive Queensboro Bridge to reach the famous Gantry State Park from where you will enjoy magnificent views of Manhattan right across from the United Nations building (great photo opportunity).

You will then proceed toward Williamsburg, a Brooklyn neighborhood where Hassidic Jews first settled at the turn of century, and that now is becoming increasingly popular among young New Yorkers and artists for its great restaurants, bars, boutiques and unpretentious life style!

Adjacent to Williamsburg, Greenpoint is a famous and vibrant Polish neighborhood where still today the polish community is very much alive. You will then cross one of the 3 bridges that connect Lower Manhattan to Brooklyn: Williamsburg Bridge and you will reach the vibrant Lower East Side, probably one of the most diverse, artistic, alternative yet hip neighborhoods left in all Manhattan. In this area assimilated New Yorkers are mixed together with immigrants from Europe, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and China creating a place full of cultures and traditions.

On your way back you will stop at the United Nations for a quick look at the building and to reflect one last time on this great and unique urban mosaic that makes New York City such a fascinating place!

The Tour includes the bike, mandatory helmet, professional tour guide – it is approximately 15 miles and it will last about 7 hours.
